How do we get started? +
1. Create an account: Get yourself into the system by going onto the Sign Up page
2. Pick a tutor: You can see everyone's bio on the Meet Us page.
3. Pick a time: You can schedule single sessions directly through your account. If you'd like to set up a weekly time, you can see the current availability on the Availability page.
How long are sessions? +
Standard sessions are 45 minutes. Mini sessions are 15 minutes. We can extend sessions if the tutor has space before or after the session and the price is prorated, so you only pay for the time you use.

If you just need a quick answer to something, we also offer Mini Sessions starting at 15 minutes for $20. Just shoot us a text or email and we'll see who's available.
How do I pay? +
Our preferred methods are Venmo, check, Zelle, or by linking a bank account. We can also send an invoice that you can pay via credit card, but that will include a 3% service fee.

We also accept cash but ask that you have exact change. Ever since 2020, hardly anyone pays with cash anymore so we've stopped keeping it at the center.
Do you do standardized test prep? +
Short answer: Sort of.

We do not provide an SAT/ACT course. For that, we partner with Crimson Review. We've had several of our students use their services and have gotten great feedback.

We DO help with improvement in specific subjects. For example, if you've taken the SAT and need to improve your math score, we can help with that. Or if you're taking a private school entrance exam and you already know which areas need improvement, we can help there.

Our primary focus is helping students improve their school grades. We felt that there were enough good test prep centers in the area that we prefer to stick with what we do best.
Do you offer discounts or ways to keep the cost down? +
We do! Here's a quick rundown:

Multiple weekly sessions — if you or your family have 2+ standing weekly times, we take $5 off each session (with tutors other than Tim).
Off-peak sessions — sessions with Tim that end by 3 pm, Monday–Friday, are $10 off.
Havertown discount — sessions at our Havertown office are $10 off while we grow that location.
Online sessions — online tutoring is generally $5–$15 cheaper than in-person.
Saturday online sessions — $10 off any online session on Saturdays.

Discounts can be stacked in most cases. Check out the Packages & Pricing page for the full breakdown.
What's the deal with the Havertown office? +
Hi, it's Tim (the owner). As you may have seen, we opened an office in Havertown in 2025. This is selfishly because I live in Havertown, as do my 2 children and wife. It's getting trickier for me to have a tutor's schedule (after school and weekends) and also be the dad and husband I'd like to be.

My goal is to eventually open up a second full location in Havertown that's more of a youth center than just tutoring. I want to host clubs for kids, be a hangout for snow days, have kids sell artwork and bracelets, and anything related to building a fun community of kids.

All that said, I have an awesome base of customers and friends in the Wayne area, and I intend to be loyal to them for as long as they'll let me teach math to their kids. For now, the Havertown space is a pretty basic office where you can come in, learn more math than you knew before then, and then crush your class. Once enough of my hometown friends have told their friends, I'll worry about opening up the full youth center.

To any of my Wayne families, I don't plan on going anywhere. I still love being a part of that community and cannot say enough good things about the people I've met and continue to work with. If anything, this will just provide you options if you ever get stuck in downtown Havertown and you need to know how to factor.
